MADRID – Due to a number of reasons, from a change in lifestyle to a weakening economy, Spain is now one of the most overweight countries in the world. The rate of obesity is especially high in children – a fact that has health officials worried about the future. The Ministry of Health is working to establish a number of new education and fitness programs, but many believe that’s not going to be enough. A change of mindset is what people need, especially from parents and school systems, experts warn.
